Book Thingy
I'm behind the times a bit (which is familiar territory, of course), but here's something moderately interesting:
1) Grab the nearest book once you read this.
2) Open to page 161.
3) Find the 5th full sentence, and post the text, along with these instructions.
It's too important to be underlined.
That's from Raise High the Roofbeam, Carpenters and Seymour an Introduction by J.D. Salinger, which happens to be the "nearest book" because Emily pulled it off the shelf earlier and left it on the floor. I think she's a genius, without question.

5 Comments:
Emily IS a genius. I wonder if little Peter Buck Haahnster will be just as smart ...
"And that is part of the reason she blew up at you."
"The Stand" by Stephen King
What might be the purpose of this little exercise?
Beth: But, of course.
Mat: The same as any other blog "exercise" (which is basically just to kill time).
Or to intrest people in your book.
Or to lure the author to your blog (my author came).
I shan't be expecting a visit from Mr. Salinger any time soon!
