Sugar Mountain (NYAPS 00)
Oh, my! Another entry from the Neil Young Archives Performance Series... seems as though its release may not have been originally anticipated (hence the "00" numbering). Yes, there's a little tape hiss. It's clearly an old recording (November 1968), but pretty damned good (slight hiss and all).
And, the performance itself... wow! Solo-acoustic Neil is almost always awe-inspiring. But, here, you have added bonuses, such as #1) Neil's youthful exuberance, on prime display in the between-songs banter, and #2) The setlist... Buffalo Springfield classics when they were only a year or so old... and as-of-then-yet-to-be-released songs from his debut solo LP.
HIGHLY recommended, folks.

I haven't seen this one yet but you can bet your sweet bippy that I'll be out searching for it at lunch today.
It is well worth it, in my humble opinion.
Neil's between-song chats are hilarious.
There's a little good, old-fashioned tape hiss... but it certainly doesn't bother me too much.
I got this for Christmas and have only listened to it seventy three times so far.
Can't wait for more archives!
OK Haahnster, it's been 3 months since your last post.
Hook it up and bring it.
It's been almost a year.....
Eric, really missing some Neil Young wisdom.......come back!!!
