If This Dog Were Taller...

...would its piss wash away the horrible lie which has been scrawled upon this wall?

One can only wonder. And pray. Pray for a giant dog with Windex(TM) urine. Or, would it take bleach? You're right. It probably would take bleach.

Mat: Ooooh! Yes! Let's use that!

m: I "feel" you...as the kids these days are saying.

OL: Clapton is the single most overrated musician in history. Bar none.

Sorry, just the way it is.

Hmmm, when the graffito was written, Clapton was pretty damn good. Is he a true guitar god? Look at his contemporaries from The Yardbirds. Beck and Page worked on their techniques until they became both better and faster.

Eric is slowhand. I enjoy him and his music, but his solos have stayed pretty much at the same level as his remake of "After Midnight," or when he rediscovered Muddy Waters-style blues.

I ask of you, Haahnster, please do not disregard:

A) His innovations with Cream and Blindfaith.

B) Derrick & The Dominoes.

C) His "Slowhand" era, that's good country music. Especially "Lay Down Sally" and "The Core."

I think it is difficult to rate musicians. I look at ease of playing and originality. Clapton liked the Blues and collaberated with a cross section of musicians, then he put his own twist in arrangements. I like to watch him play. His fingers are graceful. He is at one with his instrument. This is so important. Resting on his laurels? Maybe. A benchmark, definitely, simply because we can sense and hear his guitar when a piece comes on, as we can with all artist musicians.

You really need to let go of your pain. I know that EC must have hurt you terribly at some point in your life and since it's the Christmas season, you should just forgive him.

My friend Buddy actually played with Clapton at Mayalls birthday bash... Clapton told Buddy to do the lead on one of the tunes...I don't recall which.... "because
you do it better than I" says EC. I think this says a lot for Clapton....
