Women's Rights In Pakistan!!!

The crime of rape is now covered under the civil penal code in Pakistan! This takes it out of the sphere of religious law. (Read full article here.) What does this mean? Well, for one thing, it means that a female rape victim no longer needs four male witnesses in order to prevent being charged with adultery.

Let us pause and reflect a moment. Rape victims were charged with adultery unless they could produce four male witnesses to the assault. What the fuck is that?!

Anyway, kudos to Pakistan for a step in the right direction. Women's rights there will enter the 12th century before you know it.
